Tragedy and Hope

The scholarships will be awarded to students attending Johnson & Wales Culinary Arts University. They have 4 campuses total located in 4 different states.

The memory of Valerie L. Oransky is being honored by this award. Tragedy is unfortunately behind all this:

Culinary arts was a passion for Ms. Oransky, the 39-year-old general manager of Old Country Buffet in Dartmouth who was killed July 22, 2006. Police said a coworker stabbed her in the restaurant’s bathroom while they were preparing for breakfast.

We wish them well in their fundraising efforts on September 22nd which will include:

• A Golf Tournament
• Dinner
• Entertainment
• Raffles
• A Silent Auction
