IT Healthcare Students: a New Scholarship

Majoring in Healthcare Information Management or Healthcare Information Technology? Don’t miss the Beacon Partners Scholarship—a new scholarship being offered by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Foundation and sponsored by Beacon. HIMSS is dangling a $7,000 carrot in front of outstanding students in a HIM degree program.

Here’s what you need to apply:

  • Students must be enrolled full-time in a health information management program or closely related IT healthcare major.
  • Applicants may be undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students.
  • Undergraduate applicants must be at least in their junior year to be considered.
  • Applicants must be student members of the HIMSS Foundation.
  • A 500-word essay must accompany the application.
  • Online application calls for resume, transcripts and letters of recommendation.

Beacon Partners is actively soliciting for applications. Go online and complete one today. Deadline is October 31, 2007, applications and all mail-in materials must be received.
